Avila Vineyard

The Avila Vineyard is located in southern Monterey County near the town of San Ardo. This area is at the south end of the Monterey County AVA where there is a warmer climate that favors Bordeaux and Rhone-style varietals. This vineyard was developed in the 1990s and at the time of sale had 144.1 net vineyard acres consisting of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. An additional 42.7 net acres were fallow as those vines were recently removed.

Piini Realty also assisted the seller in exchanging into an irrigated row crop ranch farther north in the Salinas Valley.
