Moore Ranch

The Moore Ranch is a prime row-ranch situated on the west side of the Salinas Valley, just north of Gonzales and is at the west end of Corda Road.  This area is recognized as one of the premier vegetable growing districts of the Salinas Valley.

Soil - Topography:  The ranch has a level terrain with sandy loam soils.  82% of the farmland has Class 1 rated soils and 18% is lighter loam sand and rated Class 2.

 Typical crops include rotations of romaine, iceberg lettuce and broccoli.

Water:  There are three irrigation wells, and the water quality is reportedly good and suitable for the crops grown and a good supply of water for crop coverage.
