The ranch extends to the north of San Juan Grade Road where there are a total of 1,484 acres. The southeast 545 acres are developed for irrigated row crops while the remaining acreage was used for cattle grazing.
The farmland had a sloping to rolling topography and sandy loam soils that had a history of growing strawberries, bulb flowers, and a variety of vegetable crops.
