Located on the east side of the Salinas Valley near King City, the San Lorenzo Vineyard is a 356-acre ranch (304.6 net vine acres) set on an upper bench overlooking the Salinas Valley. As part of the Monterey AVA, and this vineyard site features a warm climate that is influenced by morning fog and onshore winds that limit summer afternoon temperatures which allows for a long growing and ripening season.

The soils are well-drained soils that are well suited for wine grapes and row crops. The vineyard was planted in 2000 utilizing a VSP trellis system with a 8′ x 5′ spacing. The majority of the vineyard is planted to Chardonnay with a small amount of Merlot. Water is provided by the San Lorenzo Water Company, a private mutual water company, that features 9 interconnected wells located on the lower bench that pump up into several reservoirs. Water is distributed throughout the ranch from its on-site reservoirs by high-pressure lines with drip irrigation supplying water to the vines.
